В 60-е годы пивоварня существенно расширяет свое производство, запускает современную линию бутылочного розлива и новый сорт пива — "Eigerbrau". 70-е годы внесли свои корректировки в маркетинговую политику пивоварни: переориентация с пабов и мелких торговцев пивом на крупные учреждения (рестораны, учреждения социального обслуживания, железные дороги и т.д.), где пивоварня могла предоставлять весь спектр своей продукции — от пива до лимонадов.
Реструктуризация компании сопровождалась значительными финансовыми инвестициями, что привело к переориентированию на выпуск различных сортов пива верхового брожения. К концу 80-х годов в линейке завода появились "Delirium Tremens" и "La Guillotine". В 1992 году было основано "Братство розового слона" ("Confrerie of the pink Elephant"), задачей которого стало продвижение пива под маркой "Делириум" и других сортов пива. Также пивоварня Хёйге выкупила пивоваренный завод "Кампус", монастырские пивоварни "Св. Идесбальд", "Вьей Вийерс" и "Дами". В 1993 году вышла в свет линейка фруктовых ламбиков "Флорис".
2000-й год стал годом проведения масштабных работ по реконструкции предприятия, обновления мощностей и установке новых резервуаров для брожения. Постоянное расширение экспортного рынка и значительное увеличение продаж достигло сказочной отметки объема производства в 100 000 гектолитров. Delirium Nocturnum — бельгийский крепкий темный эль, задуманный производителем как антипод элю "Delirium Tremens". Этот насыщенный эль, название которого переводится как "Ночная горячка", имеет темно-коричневый цвет и достаточно жесткий пряный вкус с нотками кориандра и солодки, хорошим балансом между горечью и сладостью. Очарование эля заключается в том, что каждый глоток завершается теплым и мягким послевкусием с явным присутствием хмелевой горечи. Пивоварением в бельгийском городке Аппелхук начали заниматься еще в 1654 году. Местный пивоваренный завод стала прародителем будущей знаменитой пивоварни Хёйге . В 1906 году завод выкупил поселившийся здесь Леон Хёйге и переименовал ее в "Brouwerij-Mouterij den Appel". После Первой Мировой войны заводу потребовалась реконструкция, и Леон Хёйге принял решение о строительстве нового здания для пивоварни, в котором завод находится до сих пор. Обновление коснулось и внутреннего обустройства (старинный варочный цех до сих пор является предметом гордости пивоварни), и смены названия — в 1938 году оно было заменено на "Leon Huyghe Ltd".

Brewery HuygheBrewing beer is a centuries-old tradition at the site of the Appelhoek in Melle. The earliest evidence of brewing activity in this location dates back as far as 1654. In 1904 Léon Huyghe starts working at the local brewery. In 1925 Léon Huyghe is joined at the brewery by his son Albert and son-in-law Louis Droesbeque and the brewery is officially renamed Brewery L. Huyghe. Today, Alain De Laet, the fourth Huyghe generation, stirs the brew kettles. The little elephant that was born in 1989 has grown into an international icon.

Color and Sight:
Dark Chocolate Brown with a compact foam, white-yellow, stable and creamy. Odor Touches of caramel, mocca and chocolate. Spices such as licorice and coriander are also present.
Taste:
Initially a very pleasant sensation in the mouth of alcohol and softness. It is followed by a growing bitterness, which comes partly from hops, but also from roasted malt and chocolate malt.
Towards the end, pleasant balance between bitter, sour and sweet notes.

In 1906 is Brouwerij Huyghe opgericht. De Delirium Bieren en de Delirium Nocturnum staan vooral bekend door het kenmerkende logo van de roze olifant. Naast deze bekende bieren heeft de brouwerij nog veel meer leuke brouwsels. Zo brouwen zij ook de Mongozo Coconut en de bieren van St. Idesbald. In 2012 heeft de brouwerij geïnvesteerd in nieuwe brouwinstallaties, waardoor de capaciteit inmiddels is uitgebreid naar 350.000 hl. Dit heeft een flinke omzetstijging tot gevolg gehad naar ongeveer €30.000.000 per jaar. Ongeveer 74% van de omzet van Brouwerij Huyghe wordt verdiend door de export naar onder meer Nederland, Engeland, de VS en Frankrijk.
