3 Fonteinen Hommage is een unieke lambiek die gemaakt wordt door het macereren van hele zure kersen en frambozen op jonge lambiek gedurende minstens vier maanden. Deze fruitlambiek wordt daarna opnieuw gemengd met meer lambiek om een minimale intensiteit van 35% fruit te verkrijgen. Het resultaat is een krachtige frambozenlambiek met een intens dieprood bosvruchtenboeket. 3 Fonteinen Hommage komt uit België, waar de brouwerij 3 Fonteinen al sinds 1887 actief is. Het aroma is complex en verleidelijk. Je ruikt de frisse en zurige tonen van de frambozen en de kersen, maar ook de aardse en funky tonen van de lambiek. Je kunt ook hints van eikenhout en vanille ontdekken, die afkomstig zijn van de rijping op houten vaten. De smaak is een explosie van fruitigheid en zuurheid. De frambozen en de kersen zijn duidelijk aanwezig, maar niet overheersend. Ze geven een zoete en sappige toets aan het bier, die perfect in balans is met de droge en zure toets van de lambiek. De lambiek zorgt ook voor een diepe en complexe smaak, met nuances van leer, hooi, citrus en kruiden. De afdronk is lang en verfrissend. Het bier laat een aangename tinteling achter op de tong, die je uitnodigt om nog een slok te nemen. De fruitige en zure smaken blijven lang hangen in de mond, samen met een lichte bitterheid van de hop. 3 Fonteinen Hommage heeft een alcoholpercentage van 6,3%.
