This particular tiny blend of Cuvée Armand & Gaston consists of 85% of two-year and three-year old lambics and 15% of jonge lambics. Hence a weighted average lambic age of more than 25 months.

We used lambics of three different barrels and five different brews. Of these brews, about one third contains our own and locally sourced cereals and one brew contains honey malt instead of the typical pils malt.

Spontaneous fermentation, patient maturation in oak barrels, and continued evolution in the bottle result in a distinctively complex beer. No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions, etc. This cuvée, like all of our lambic, is 100% natural, authentic, spontaneously fermented, and crafted with steadfast adherence to tradition, like Armand and Gaston Debelder have always done it. This geuze has fermented in the bottle and will continue to develop its tastes and aromas over its long life when properly cellared. 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze Cuvée Armand & Gaston is a blend of one-, two-, and three-year old traditional lambics, all brewed at Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen. Spontaneous fermentation, patient maturation in oak barrels, and continued evolution in the bottle result in a distinctively complex beer. No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions, etc. This cuvée, like all of our lambic, is 100% natural, authentic, spontaneously fermented, and crafted with steadfast adherence to tradition, like Armand and Gaston Debelder have always done it. This geuze has fermented in the bottle and will continue to develop its tastes and aromas over its long life when properly cellared. and bottled on Wednesday March 11th 2020. We let this bottle age for an
additional four years before releasing it.
It is a blend of one-, two- and three-year-old lambikken, originating from
five different barrels and six different brews. The oldest lambik was brewed
in April 2017. On the moment of the release, the weighted average age of this
blend will have reached 67 months, or more than five and a half years.
A true geuze, purely natural. Fully spontaneously fermented from brew to
bottle, unfiltered, unpasteurised.

Spontane gisting, geduldige rijping in eikenhouten vaten en voortdurende evolutie in de fles resulteren in een opvallend complex bier. Geen twee bottelingen zijn hetzelfde, omdat er meerdere variabelen zijn in het mengproces, een verscheidenheid aan vatgroottes en -vormen, verschillen in gerijpte lambiekverhoudingen, enz. Deze cuvée is, net als al onze lambiek, 100% natuurlijk, authentiek, spontaan gefermenteerd en vervaardigd met een standvastige naleving van de traditie, zoals Armand en Gaston Debelder het altijd hebben gedaan. Deze geuze is gefermenteerd in de fles en zal zijn smaken en aroma's blijven ontwikkelen gedurende zijn lange leven wanneer het op de juiste manier wordt bewaard.
