A Cervejeira Oud Beersel foi fundada em 1882 por Henri Vandervelden e é uma das mais tradicionais cervejeiras lambic do mundo, situada em Beersel, perto de Bruxelas, e produz este estilo desde 1882. Depois de várias vicissitudes, cessou atividade em 2002 por problemas financeiros. Em 2005 é adquirida por Gert Christiaens e Roland De Bus, dois jovens apaixonados por cerveja e muito motivados pela preservação do património histórico e cultural da Oud Beersel, em particular os métodos e receitas artesanais das variedades kriek e lambic. Para financiar este relançamento, para além da Oud Beersel Kriek e Lambic, a Oud Beersel comercializa ainda a Bersalis Tripel e Bersalis Kadet, produzidas em parceria com a Huyghe Brewery, em Melle (a mesma cervejeira que produz a Delirium, a Mongozo ou a Averbode).
