A Cervejeira Oud Beersel foi fundada em 1882 por Henri Vandervelden e é uma das mais tradicionais cervejeiras lambic do mundo, situada em Beersel, perto de Bruxelas, e produz este estilo desde 1882. Depois de várias vicissitudes, cessou atividade em 2002 por problemas financeiros. Em 2005 é adquirida por Gert Christiaens e Roland De Bus, dois jovens apaixonados por cerveja e muito motivados pela preservação do património histórico e cultural da Oud Beersel, em particular os métodos e receitas artesanais das variedades kriek e lambic. Para financiar este relançamento, para além da Oud Beersel Kriek e Lambic, a Oud Beersel comercializa ainda a Bersalis Tripel e Bersalis Kadet, produzidas em parceria com a Huyghe Brewery, em Melle (a mesma cervejeira que produz a Delirium, a Mongozo ou a Averbode). Hanssens Oude Gueuze cerveza lambic, de fermentación espontanea de estilo Gueuze, elaborada con una mezcla de cervezas lambic de diferentes años.
Elaborada con Malta de trigo, cebada, lúpulos nobles belgas, levaduras salvajes y bacterias silvestres que se encuentran en el ambiente en la región de Flandes (Bélgica).
De color dorado-anaranjado, aroma afrutado a manzanas verdes, ácido y ligeramente ahumado.
Su sabor es ácido y las notas salvajes recuerdan al campo, además de lo terroso y herbal, junto a la potente carbonatación seca y complejo con notas afrutadas, cítricas de manzana verde, con un ligero toque de madera y vainilla la vuelven una refrescante y fina cerveza.
La fábrica de cerveza Hanssens se estableció en 1896 en Dworp, Bélgica. Un clásico de uno de los pequeños productores de Lambic de Pajottenland
Ganadora de varios premios en concursos internacionales
Es una de las pocas cervezas Gueuze elaboradas de manera tradicional, sin pasteurización ni filtrado.
Se recomienda servir a una temperatura de 10-12°C
Perfecta para acompañar platos de marisco, quesos fuertes y carnes a la parrilla.
