Moderately low esters of dark fruit, specifically plum and fig, are present. Hop aroma is nearly absent, though a faint herbal wisp from Hallertau hops may be detected. No harsh roasted or burnt notes.

Taste. The initial impression is intensely malty and rich. Dominant flavors of toasted malt, cocoa, and light coffee are balanced by a medium-low bitterness from Hallertau hops. The mid-palate reveals complex nutty and caramelized sugar notes alongside dark fruit esters. The finish is smooth and clean, with a lingering malt-driven sweetness that remains well-attenuated and never cloying.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and velvety with a smooth, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate to moderately low. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present at 7.4% ABV but never sharp or fusel. No astringency.
