Eazy Breezy is a vibrant and refreshing Wild Specialty Beer that evokes the atmosphere of a bright summer afternoon. This session sour leads with an invigorating, zesty citrus profile driven by the addition of fresh lime juice and zest, which provides a sharp, clean acidity. This tartness is expertly balanced by the succulent, soft sweetness of juicy melon, creating a layered fruit character that avoids being overly sharp. The fermentation profile is tangy and crisp, characteristic of a modern sour, while remaining light and exceptionally drinkable. The result is a highly effervescent, fruit-forward ale that emphasizes brightness and refreshment.
Appearance. Pours a pale, hazy straw color with a subtle greenish-yellow tint. It supports a frothy, white head with moderate to low retention, typical of acidic styles, leaving light lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of freshly squeezed lime and sharp citrus zest dominate the nose. Secondary notes of ripe honeydew melon provide a sweet, fruity contrast. A clean, lactic sourness is present, accompanied by a very light, crackery malt base and no perceptible hop aroma.
Taste. The initial impression is a zesty, tart snap of lime juice that immediately awakens the palate. Following the acidity, juicy melon flavors emerge to provide a rounded, slightly sweet counterpoint that softens the sourness. Bitterness is nearly non-existent, and hop flavor is absent. The finish is short, clean, and dry with a lingering lime-peel aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, high carbonation level that enhances the refreshing, breezy character. Alcohol warmth is negligible. There is a pleasant, acidic pucker on the tongue but no harsh astringency.
