Hasta la década de 1940, la cerveza Aventinus (doppelbock ) era enviada a toda Baviera en contenedores sin control de temperatura. En uno de los viajes, las botellas se congelaron parcialmente durante el transporte. La gente estaba desconcertada por esta versión única de Aventinus, por su intensidad y dulzor (sin conocer que la cerveza se había concentrado por las condiciones climáticas). Hans Peter Drexler, maestro cervecero de la cervecería Schneider, decidió recrear este clásico «error» en una instalación moderna y controlada dando lugar a una cerveza brillante.
Este tipo de cerveza necesita un mayor tiempo de añejamiento y sus resultados nos podrían recordar a estilos como las barley wine u otros tipos de cerveza envejecidas en barrica. Principalmente encontramos recuerdos de cognac con una fuerte base maltosa inconfundible con un aroma afrutado y un final persistente. Es densa y dulce y nos deja una sensación gratificante y relajante. ¡¡Es una cerveza para tomar mirando al fuego!!

First and foremost, the appearance of Meine Aventinus is striking. It pours a deep mahogany colour with a rich, creamy tan head that lingers for a while. The beer is slightly hazy, which is expected for a wheat beer, and it adds to the overall allure. Holding the glass up to the light reveals beautiful amber and ruby hues, enticing you to take your first sip.
The aroma is incredibly inviting and complex. Notes of banana and raisins come forward, followed by hints of cloves and a subtle spiciness. There is also a delicate sweetness that adds depth to the scent. The aroma alone is enough to get your taste buds excited for what’s to come.
Upon taking the first sip, I was immediately impressed by the beer’s velvety smooth texture. It coats the palate nicely, delivering a medium-bodied mouthfeel that is both satisfying and easy to drink. The carbonation level is moderate, providing a gentle effervescence that adds to the overall experience.
Flavour-wise, Meine Aventinus truly shines. The combination of wheat malts and the Bavarian yeast strain used in its fermentation creates a symphony of flavours. The prominent taste of ripe bananas and dark fruits, like plums and figs, is complemented by a subtle spiciness from the cloves and a touch of nuttiness. The malt profile brings a pleasant sweetness to the beer, reminiscent of caramel and molasses. The balance between the fruity, sweet, and spicy elements is impeccable, making each sip a delight.
The finish is long and satisfying, with a slight dryness that leaves you craving the next sip. Despite its 8.2% ABV, the alcohol is well-integrated and doesn’t overpower the other flavors. It’s a beer that you can savour slowly or enjoy alongside hearty dishes, such as roasted meats, sausages, or strong cheeses.

Unaware that the brew was concentrated by the separation of water from the liquid. People were baffled by this unique version of Aventinus. By chance, the first Aventinus Eisbock was created.
Well aware of this story, Hans Peter Drexler, brewmaster of the Schneider brewery, decided to recreate this classic "mistake" in a modern controlled facility. Thus, the Aventinus Eisbock is reborn sixty years later ... Prost!

Birra stagionale, dedicata all'inverno, dalla storia particolare. Durante un trasporto di Aventinus TAP6, negli anni 40, tramite cisterne che ai tempi non avevano la temperatura controllata, la parte acquosa della birra si congelò e quel che rimase venne assaggiato ed apprezzato da tanti. Nel 2002 il mastro birraio del birrificio Schneider ricreò le condizioni di congelamento della birra dando origine ad Aventinus Eisbock. Dal colore rosso rubino scuro, questa birra è forte ed intensa nei sentori, sia al naso che al palato. Dalla generosa gradazione alcolica, 12%, emergono dolci note fruttate (banana e frutti rossi), avvolgenti sentori di malto, frutta secca e caramello. Retrogusto lievemente amaro.
