Gueuze 5 º 25 IBU
This Gueuze offers an approachable and refined expression of spontaneous fermentation, blending young and aged Lambic to achieve a harmonious, balanced profile. Pouring a brilliant golden hue, it presents a softer acidic edge than traditional Oude versions. The aroma delivers a delicate mixture of grainy malt and light pome fruit, underscored by a subtle, earthy funk characteristic of the style. On the palate, a distinctive vinous quality reminiscent of dry vermouth emerges, accompanied by a noticeable, clean sweetness and complex orchard fruit notes. Highly effervescent and medium-bodied, it concludes with a refreshing, natural finish that pairs exceptionally with salty fare.
Appearance. Golden (SRM 5–6). Brilliant clarity with a fine, white, persistent head and steady, champagne-like effervescence.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring bready and grainy malt notes. Subtle fruity esters suggesting green apple and citrus rind are complemented by a mild, controlled funkiness—reminiscent of light leather and hay—integrated with a soft, lactic acidity. No hop aroma.
Taste. The initial impression is of a mild, malt-driven sweetness that is quickly met by a balanced lactic tartness. Complex flavors of dry vermouth and white grapes provide a vinous character. Hop bitterness is negligible, as the balance is primarily driven by acidity. The finish is clean, refreshingly tart, and notably sweeter than traditional unpasteurized examples.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a prickly, refreshing sensation. It possesses a smooth, velvety texture with a low tart, puckering quality and no perceived alcohol warmth.

Lindemans Geuze
Lindemans Gueuze is a golden beer and is both sweet and dry with a pleasantly sweet attack and a fresh, slightly sour finish reminiscent of sherry with notes of champagne and rhubarb.
Alcohol content: 4,5%
There are several stories to explain the origin of the term ‘gueuze’. This name dates back to the Rue de Gueuze in Brussels where, for the first time, a producer offered his delicious lambic in champagne bottles. Word about the ‘lambick on Rue de Gueuze’ quickly got around. According to other sources, gueuze has its roots in ‘gazeux’ – the French word for carbonated – since traditional gueuze is a carbonated blend of different lambics.
After the Second World War, some lambic brewers devised a new production method. They filtered the beer, added sugar, saturated it (with carbon dioxide) and pasteurised it. This new gueuze, closed with a bottle cap and available in 25cl bottles, was called capped gueuze.
Developed according to this production method, Gueuze Lindemans is a slightly sweeter version of Old Gueuze Cuvée René.
