Pouring a brilliant golden hue, it presents a softer acidic edge than traditional Oude versions. The aroma delivers a delicate mixture of grainy malt and light pome fruit, underscored by a subtle, earthy funk characteristic of the style. On the palate, a distinctive vinous quality reminiscent of dry vermouth emerges, accompanied by a noticeable, clean sweetness and complex orchard fruit notes. Highly effervescent and medium-bodied, it concludes with a refreshing, natural finish that pairs exceptionally with salty fare.
Appearance.Golden (SRM 5–6). Brilliant clarity with a fine, white, persistent head and steady, champagne-like effervescence.
