Lindemans Su historia comenzó en 1822 cuando la cervecería se fundó en una pequeña granja en Vlezenbeek, un pequeño pueblo en las proximidades de Bruselas, único área donde se pueden producir realmente lambic, estilo que emplea trigo crudo y levaduras salvajes, dotándolas de un aroma y sabor muy especiales que las acerca sensorialmente a una sidra o un vino blanco espumoso. En 1930, debido al creciente éxito de la cervecería, la actividad agrícola se detuvo definitivamente para enfocarse en la elaboración de Kriek y Gueuze, sus únicas disponibles hasta el momento. A estas le siguienron la Faro (1978), la Framboise (1980), la Cassis (1986), la Pecheresse (1987) y finalmente la Apple (2005). La cervecería, hasta el día de hoy, sigue siendo una empresa familiar. Bajo la dirección de estas seis generaciones, la cervecería se ha convertido en uno de los principales productores de lambic no solo de la región, si no del mundo entero.

Die Gueuze gehört zu den belgischen Lambic-Bieren, die sich durch ihre charakteristische Säure auszeichnen. Traditionell wird Lambic spontan vergoren, das heißt, dass Milchsäurebakterien, wilde Hefen aus der Luft oder solche, die an der Schale der verwendeten Rohstoffe mit in den Kessel wandern, für den Anstoß der Gärung sorgen.
Die Gueuze aus dem Hause Lindemans ist ein wunderbares Beispiel für den Einsatz wilder Hefen und hat dank dieser eine feine, Champagner-ähnliche Säure. Neben der Hefe gibt es aber noch eine weitere Besonderheit an der Gueuze: Sie entsteht durch die Vermählung zweier Biere. Um eine Gueuze herzustellen, werden ein Jungbier und ein über längere Zeit gelagertes Altbier miteinander vermischt. Ergebnis ist ein einzigartiges Bier mit ganz besonderem Charme.
Lindemans Gueuze fließt in einem sonnigen Hellgelb ins Glas und wird von einem blassen, flüchtigen Schaum bekrönt. Feine Perlen strömen unablässig vom Glasboden an die Oberfläche und befördern den feinen Duft nach floralen Zitrusfrüchten, unreifen grünen Äpfeln und spritzigem, süßem Weißwein zutage. Der Geschmack folgt der olfaktorischen Impression auf den Fuß: Lindemans Gueuze ist spritzig, sauer, fruchtig und besonders.
Eiskalt serviert entfaltet das Belgische Spezialbier seinen vollen Charme und bietet die perfekte sommerliche Erfrischung.
