Appearance. Deep copper to light brown (19 SRM) with a thick, persistent off-white head that leaves significant lacing; slight haze is present due to the high percentage of bread and dry-hopping.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by pine, resin, and grapefruit from the Chinook, backed by subtle earthy and floral notes from EKG and Crystal hops. A unique, moderately-strong toasted bread and light toffee malt character provides a sturdy base.
Taste. Initial impression is sharply bitter, followed by a complex malt profile of crusty bread, toasted grain, and light caramel. Hop flavors of resinous pine and spicy herbs are prominent.
