Sabor
A Oude Geuze Boon distingue-se pelo seu sabor subtil e delicado, graças à textura tipicamente macia e arredondada. O aroma é fresco e predominantemente frutado, com notas cítricas (nomeadamente toranja), damasco e carvalho. Revela ainda um caráter complexo e equilibrado, com nuances de madeira, baunilha e frutos secos. O final é prolongado, seco e intenso.

A denominação “Oude Geuze” foi reconhecida pela União Europeia como uma Especialidade Tradicional Garantida (TSG), assegurando a autenticidade desta cerveja. O rótulo da garrafa exibe o logótipo amarelo e azul correspondente a esta certificação.
A Oude Geuze Boon é um blend com 18 meses de cervejas Lambic com 1,2,e 3 anos de estágio em barricas de carvalho americano. É uma cerveja fresca, frutada com notas cítricas e amadeiradas do estágio em barricas de carvalho. O paladar é claramente sour mas equilibrado, não fosse este um dos exemplos do estilo. Como a cerveja não é adoçada, filtrada ou pasteurizada recomenda-se que a conserve refrigerada e na vertical, pode ser guardada por 20 anos. Na altura da degustação, sirva lentamente e sem perturbar o sedimento de levedura na garrafa.
Esta cerveja, sour e frutada, acompanha muito bem pratos intensos e salgados como Mariscos, Charcutaria ou Queijos cremosos.
Pode ser guardada na Cave à bière longe de luz e fontes de calor.

The hops used are old, and act only as a preservative, so hop character is not a part of the style. The wild yeasts not only ferment and sour the beer, but they bring the funky, unpredictable flavours that characterize all lambic beers. Above all else, a gueuze should be sour and very complex
Pours a golden yellow colour with a large and foamy head and lots of spritzy carbonation. It has a mainly sour aroma with a slight sweetness coming through; citrusy, flowery, cider hints. The taste has a nice sourness, but is also fruity; grapefruit, lemon and ginger, slight saltiness, faint nuttiness, grassy, no bitterness or maltiness.

"Oude Geuze Boon is a monument of taste with an alcohol content of 7%. It’s a magnificent blend of 90% mild 18 month-old lambic, 5% strong 3 year-old beer and 5% very young lambic, which provides fermentable sugars and wild yeasts. All our beers are aged in oak casks, mixed in a vessel of 25,000 litres and chilled. Before bottling, we bring the mix to fermentation temperature. The bottles are then placed in an air-conditioned room, which leads to a secondary fermentation in the bottle. This is when the lambic becomes gueuze. After several months of aging in the bottle, the gueuze develops its delicate flavour. Want to know the bottling date? Simply subtract 20 years from the “best before” date!

La Boon Oude Geuze rappresenta uno dei migliori esempi di birra in stile Lambic dalla fermentazione 100% spontanea.
Questa birra subisce un affinamento in botti di rovere che va da uno fino a tre anni.
Nasce da una miscela di Lambic invecchiati circa 18 mesi, rifermentata in bottiglia, ha una conservazione che può arrivare fino a 20 anni d'età. Di colore dorato velato, al naso gli aromi sono pungenti e muffati, con note che rimandano al formaggio, il lievito, note vinose e di sottobosco (terra e funghi).
Acidula e secca al palato, i sentori sono vinosi. Oleosa e piacevolmente secca nel finale.
