Ayinger Jahrhundert is a quintessential German Helles Exportbier, celebrating a century of brewing tradition with a harmonious balance of malt depth and elegant hop presence. The pour reveals a brilliant golden-yellow hue. Aromatically, it leads with a honey-like sweetness and doughy Pilsner malt character, complemented by a flowery yeast profile and a touch of spicy German hops. On the palate, the beer is initially full-bodied, showcasing the earthy, precious qualities of malted barley. Appearance. Golden-yellow (approx. 5–6 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Persistent, creamy white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity. Dominant grainy-sweet and doughy malt aroma with distinct honey-like notes. Medium-low spicy and flowery hop character. Clean fermentation profile with a very light, pleasant flowery yeast ester.
