Spontane fermentatie, geduldige rijping in eikenhouten vaten en voortdurende evolutie in de fles resulteren in een opvallend complex bier. Geen twee bottelingen zijn hetzelfde, omdat er meerdere variabelen zijn in het mengproces, een verscheidenheid aan vatgroottes en -vormen, verschillen in gerijpte lambiekverhoudingen, enz. Deze cuvée is, net als al onze lambieken, 100% natuurlijk, authentiek, spontaan gefermenteerd en vervaardigd met standvastige naleving van de traditie, zoals Armand en Gaston Debelder het altijd hebben gedaan. Deze geuze heeft op fles gegist en zal zijn smaken en aroma's blijven ontwikkelen gedurende zijn lange leven wanneer hij goed wordt bewaard. 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze is a blend of one-, two-, and three-year old lambics. Spontaneous fermentation, patient maturation in oak barrels, and continued evolution of the ecosystem in the bottle result in a distinctively complex and elegant natural beer. No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions in the blend, etc. When cellared properly, 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze can be aged for several decades. The aromas and flavours will evolve from notes of vibrant fresh citrus, zesty and grassy notes to a mellow, oaky, stone fruit bouquet as the lambic continues to develop with time. Lambic and Geuze are living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley! Deze cuvée is, net als al onze lambiek, 100% natuurlijk, authentiek en spontaan gefermenteerd , en gemaakt met vastberaden vasthouden aan de traditie, zoals Armand en Gaston Debelder dat altijd hebben gedaan. Deze geuze is op de fles gefermenteerd en zal zijn smaak en aroma's gedurende zijn lange levensduur blijven ontwikkelen, mits goed bewaard. Traditionele Lambiek is levend, cultureel erfgoed geworteld in de Zennevallei! Proef, proef, geniet en beleef dit ongefilterde, ongepasteuriseerde en onvervalste bier met nieuwe en oude vrienden!

3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze is a true Geuze - a masterful blend of 1, 2, and 3 year-old lambic (spontaneously fermented by wild yeasts, and matured in oak casks), unfiltered and unpasteurized, and aged in the bottle for at least a year after blending. Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen employs the skill, knowledge, and supreme passion for real geuze that Armand Debelder and his father Gaston used to build the brewery's reputation from 1953 to 2019.

Refermentation in the bottle gives this Geuze its famous champagne-like spritziness. Golden-orange in color, its dry, fruity, intense, and complex aroma and flavor make it unforgettable.

Bottling date: 13 MAR 19. Best before: 26 OCT 39. These bottles are the 52nd blend of the 2018-2019 season, blended with lambics from 10 different barrels and originating from 8 different brews. Properly stored, it will only get better and better over its lifetime.

Oude Geuze:
Oude Geuze is een blend van verschillende lambiek bieren. Voor deze batch zijn maar liefst 8 verschillende brouwsels gebruikt die op 5 verschillende vaten hebben liggen rijpen. Gemiddeld hebben deze bieren 27 maanden gelegen. Al met al is het een licht zuur bier geworden met een droge afdronk met een tintje appel erin.
3 Fonteinen
Brouwerij 3 fonteinen is begonnen in 1882, met de oprichting van een herberg in Beersel, maar pas sinds 1999 wordt er in het café zelf Lambiek gebrouwen. Deze dagen hebben ze een gesplitste brouwerij die zich vooral focust in Lambiek en Geuze. Ze gebruiken hiervoor het liefts lokale granen. Door het natuurlijke process van lambiek brouwen, heeft elke batch een andere sensatie.
