Para los que no las conozcan las saison son cervezas de alta fermentación originarias de Valonia, la parte francófona de Bélgica. Se empezaron a elaborar en las granjas debido a la dificultad de conseguir agua potable. De este modo las cervezas eran la mejor alternativa sanitaria para beber sin riesgo de contaminarse. Se dice que se elaboraban a la salida del invierno para que pudieran fermentar y madurar a temperatura correcta y estar lista para los meses más calurosos. Cada granja solía tener su receta y su cepa de levadura, aunque todas compartían una buena dosis de lúpulo para su conservación y el uso frutas y especias de campo.
La Brasserie Dupont – Saison está considerada como un arquetipo dentro del estilo: una cerveza a imitar. Aromaticamente es muy compleja con un abanico de fragancias, desde el grano, la naranja y otros cítricos, pimienta hasta notas terrosas y herbales. Su boca no lo es menos, con un inicio dulce y replicando en sabores la evolución de los aromas. El final es seco y largo, marcado por notas terrosas. En definitiva, si no conoces el estilo Saison, Dupont es indudablemente la mejor opción para hincarle el diente.

Reeds in 1844 werd dit bier gedurende de winter in de hoeve-brouwerij gebrouwen .
Gedurende enkele maanden kreeg dit bier een tweede gisting op vat, waarna het werd geschonken om de dorst van de seizoenarbeiders op de hoeve te lessen.
Nog steeds wordt onze Saison Dupont beschouwd als “de klassieker onder de Belgische seizoenbieren”!
Koperblond, de fijnste hoparoma’s en een uitgesproken droge bitterheid maken dit bier tot een ongeëvenaarde dorstlesser, zoals het oorspronkelijk was.

Il perlage è di una vivacità quasi selvaggia. L'aroma, fresco e inebriante, è di lievito belga, inconfondibile, con un tocco fruttato e fiorito, quasi dolciastro, di margherita. La fragranza dell'aroma è data da un'effervescenza che colpisce immediatamente anche il palato, insieme ad un corpo denso a non eccessivamente impegnativo.
