This opulent Imperial Stout offers an immersive sensory experience defined by the aromatic depth of tonka beans, providing layers of spiced vanilla, marzipan, and dark cherry. The base exhibits a robust profile of roasted grains and dark chocolate, characteristic of a high-gravity stout. Infusions of salted caramel introduce a luxurious, buttery sweetness that is balanced by a subtle, savory mineral flick on the finish. Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). It supports a thick, persistent deep tan head with excellent retention. High viscosity is apparent in the glass, forming visible legs upon swirling.

Aroma. High intensity with dominant notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and burnt sugar. The tonka beans contribute complex aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, and almond. Secondary notes of rich caramel and dark fruit esters, specifically plum and black currant, are supported by a smooth, clean alcohol warmth.

Taste. Initial impression is rich and sweet, followed quickly by bittersweet chocolate and heavy roast. The tonka beans provide a nutty, spicy mid-palate, while the salted caramel adds a buttery depth. A distinct but integrated saltiness enhances the malt complexity. Hop bitterness is moderately high but balanced by significant residual sugar. The finish is long and lingering with notes of cocoa and toasted oak.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous with a chewy, velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A smooth, pleasant alcohol warmth is noticeable but lacks any harsh or solventy edges. No significant astringency despite the heavy roast.

L'aroma ed il gusto sono ricchi e corposi, con in evidenza note tostate di malto e cioccolato fondente, cacao, toffee e caramello. Il corpo è medio, la bevuta è vellutata e con un lieve retrogusto luppolato e resinoso nel finale.
