The base exhibits a robust profile of roasted grains and dark chocolate, characteristic of a high-gravity stout. Aroma. High intensity with dominant notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and burnt sugar. The tonka beans contribute complex aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, and almond. Secondary notes of rich caramel and dark fruit esters, specifically plum and black currant, are supported by a smooth, clean alcohol warmth.

Taste. Initial impression is rich and sweet, followed quickly by bittersweet chocolate and heavy roast. The tonka beans provide a nutty, spicy mid-palate, while the salted caramel adds a buttery depth. A distinct but integrated saltiness enhances the malt complexity. Hop bitterness is moderately high but balanced by significant residual sugar. The finish is long and lingering with notes of cocoa and toasted oak.
