Funky Fluid

Dapper is a vivid Hazy IPA that serves as a canvas for the experimental HBC 1019 hop. This modern profile leads with an intense tropical-citrus surge, but quickly reveals sophisticated layers of creamy coconut, caramelized bananas, and sweet honeydew melon. The soft, bready malt foundation provides a supple structure that carries these complex fruit esters across the palate without adding cloying weight. Its smooth, restrained bitterness ensures the finish remains exceptionally juicy and drinkable, highlighting the unique sensory depth of its American hop origins. The result is a vibrant, fruit-forward experience that defines the contemporary New England IPA character.

Appearance. Straw to gold (4-6 SRM) with a heavy, opaque haze and a characteristic luminous shine. Crowns with a dense, meringue-like white head exhibiting high retention and intricate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex blend of tropical citrus, honeydew melon, and distinct coconut. Subtle, sweet notes of caramelized banana are present, backed by a clean, grainy, and lightly bready malt character. Fermentation is clean with supportive fruity esters.

Taste. High hop flavor echoing the aroma's tropical fruit, coconut, and melon. Initial malt sweetness is low and bready, transitioning into a medium-low perceived bitterness that is soft and well-integrated. The finish is off-dry and exceptionally smooth, with a lingering fruit-smoothie aftertaste that avoids any harshness or hop burn.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture and moderate carbonation. Alcohol presence provides a very light, well-integrated warmth. The mouthfeel is smooth and lacks any astringency or raw starch character.
