Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Rich malty aroma featuring notes of toast, chocolate, and coffee from the special malts. Prominent brown candi sugar sweetness. Fruity esters suggesting white fruits and subtle raisins. Low to moderate spicy phenols with hints of aniseed and liquorice. Low herbal hop character.

Taste. Full-flavored initial impression dominated by rich malt, biscuit, and toasted grain. Comme beaucoup d'abbayes, elle a été détruite à cause des Révolutions qui se sont déroulées au fil des siècles. L'Abbaye est ensuite devenue un séminaire et une école. Il existe la bière de l'abbaye de Floreffe. Elle est brassée par la brasserie Lefèbvre à Quénast dans le Brabant Wallon.
