Floreffe Dubbel is a “light”, brown abbey ale with a deep colour with red reflections, chocolate, coffee and liquorice aromas and a touch of aniseed and white fruit notes. The first sip is full-flavoured, with a hint of acidity which heightens the roasted notes provided by the special malts. Malted flavours are prominent on the palate. The finish is particularly long, mainly acidic with a hint of sourness and a faint bitter aftertaste. Elle subit une refermentation en bouteille. L'Abbaye norbertine de Floreffe se situe près de la ville de Namur. Elle a été fondée en 1121 et la production brassicole a débuté au 14ème siècle. Comme beaucoup d'abbayes, elle a été détruite à cause des Révolutions qui se sont déroulées au fil des siècles. L'Abbaye est ensuite devenue un séminaire et une école.
