En diciembre de 1.987 fallece don Francisco Fernández Vela y gracias al apoyo mostrado por proveedores, familiares y amigos, su viuda, doña María Fernández Martínez, decide continuar con el negocio que tanto sacrifico costo a su marido siguiendo sus pasos. En 1.990, se incorpora a la empresa su sobrino Jose Manuel Martínez, el cual amplia la cartera de productos con la distribución de cafés Lugomer y una marca de cerveza que en aquel entonces nacía en la ciudad de Córdoba, cervezas Sureña. La juventud de aquel niño junto a sus menores hermanos, Carlos y Daniel, acogen este ultimo producto con tanto cariño que relanzan la empresa hasta que en noviembre de 1.999, Compañía Andaluza de Cervezas anuncia su cierre definitivo y con el, se desvanece aquella marca tan querida por estos jóvenes, "Sureña", sintiendo mucho la perdida de esta marca, pues supuso sus inicios en el mundo cervecero y un considerable esfuerzo en su introducción y gran acogida en el mercado almeriense. "Los niños", como son conocidos en este "mundillo", continuaron su andadura en el mercado cervecero con diversas marcas y consiguiendo sus objetivos, presos de las grandes empresas, decidieron abortar la distribución sumergiéndose en el mundo hostelero con diferentes locales en la ciudad, no olvidando sus inicios, hoy en día se suman a los grandes amantes de este liquido dorado, fabricando su propia cerveza artesana conservando su tradición.
Por supuesto, la experiencia les ha enseñado a apreciar y valorar la necesidad de innovación. Han invertido en los medios tecnológicos más avanzados y el grado elevado de calificación personal es su mejor baza.
Modernidad y tradición puestas al servicio del buen hacer y, por supuesto, de los paladares mas exigentes, están fabricando hoy por hoy, una cerveza de calidades notables.
Estos jóvenes hermanos, esperan que sus productos cubran las expectativas de los almerienses, es por ello, trabajan día a día por su producto y sus clientes.
