This Fruit Lambic presents an exquisite fusion of old-world funk and intense fruit concentration. Utilizing overripe cherries at a rate of 400 grams per liter, the profile is defined by deep, fermented cherry notes and a complex, wine-like structure. Extended aging in small oak barrels imparts sophisticated layers of vanilla and cloves, softening the sharp acidity of the heavy lambic base. At eight percent alcohol, it offers a refined warmth and a rounded mouthfeel reminiscent of dried cherries and wild tastes. This is a masterful expression of balance, where vibrant fruit meets earthy barnyard funk and toasted wood, finishing dry and remarkably smooth.

Appearance. Deep ruby-red to burgundy with brilliant clarity. It features a thick, mousse-like, pink-tinted head with excellent persistence and fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity fermented sour cherry and dried fruit dominance. A complex lambic funk follows, characterized by barnyard, hay, and earthy notes. Small oak barrel aging contributes distinct vanilla and cloves with a subtle toasted wood character.

Taste. Initial tart cherry explosion evolving into layers of dried fruit and complex wild flavors. A firm but soft acidity provides structure. Malt character is low and crackery, while the wood provides vanilla and spicy clove nuances. The finish is very dry, lingering with tart fruit and subtle wood tannins.

Kriek Mariage Parfait is an old Kriek beer made from 18 month aged Lambic to which 400 grams of fresh wild cherries are added for every litre. The cherries are allowed to macerate and ferment with the Lambic. The Kriek Lambic is then allowed to mature in oak barrels for about 6 to 8 months.

After bottling, Kriek Mariage Parfait is given plenty of time to undergo a secondary fermentation process in the bottle that will turn it into a genuine Oude Kriek. If you can, leave the bottle in a cool and dark cellar for another 2 years to make it even milder and fruitier.

Kriek Mariage Parfait can be recognised by its intense, wine-like aroma and cherry flavour enriched by pleasant notes of vanilla and oak and a hint of ripe fruit. The high cherry content gives this beer a deep red colour and pink head.

Kriek Mariage Parfait es una cerveza que se elabora a partir de una lámbica fuerte de 1 año a la que se le añaden cerezas muy maduras, unos 400 gr. por litro. La crianza en barricas de roble consigue domar todos los sabores y matices y le aporta su perfil tan característico. La segunda fermentación se realiza en botella y se prolonga durante unos 6 meses. El resultado es una cerveza que, en muchos aspectos, supera a los mejores vinos.

NOTA DE CATA: Color granate intenso, aspecto velado, capa de espuma rosa, fina y de corta retención. Aromas intensos a frutos rojos con un trasfondo ácido y salvaje. En boca es suave, ligera, con predominio de notas a frutos rojos pero también a vainilla y clavo.

8% vol. / 37,5 cl.

INGREDIENTES: Agua, malta de cebada , cerezas (40%), trigo , lúpulo y levadura.

Prodotta con ciliegie selvatiche ed un mix di Lambic, invecchiati in botti di rovere, Kriek Mariage Parfait è una birra non filtrata e senza aromi, conservanti o coloranti aggiunti.
Una volta versata si presenta di color rosso scuro, con fine schiuma rosata.
Gli aromi sono leggermente muffati, con forti note di ciliegia, note acidule di lievito e sentori legnosi (quercia).
Il connubio perfetto tra le ciliegie selvatiche ed i vari lambic utilizzati nella produzione, danno vita ad una birra dal sapore acidulo, dove protagonista è il sapore fruttato. Secca,lievemente aspra e vellutante al palato.

Esta Boon – Kriek Mariage Parfait es la versión afrutada de la Mariage Parfait. Se elabora con la maceración en una lambic joven de 400 gr/l de cerezas silvestres. La maduración se realiza en barricas de roble durante 6-8 meses.

Se trata de una Geuze atípica por su alta graduación alcohólica (8%), su considerable turbidez y el amargor ligeramente más alto.
