Chimay Wit is de Tripel van abdijbrouwerij Chimay. Het goudgele bier heeft een zachte bitter en een mooi evenwicht. De aroma’s van het bier hebben fruitige toetsen van druiven en appels. Het Belgische trappistenbier wordt gebrouwen in de Abdij van Chimay volgens traditionele brouwprocessen. Het bier heeft een alcoholpercentage van 8% en kan het beste geschonken worden bij een temperatuur van zes tot acht graden Celsius.

La Chimay Tripel, conosciuta anche come Chimay Blanche, è una birra trappista chiara in stile Tripel, con una gradazione alcolica dell’8%. Creata per la prima volta nel 1966, è diventata un punto di riferimento per lo stile Tripel, grazie alla sua finezza e complessità.
Si presenta con un colore dorato luminoso, leggermente velato, e una schiuma bianca abbondante e persistente. Al naso, regala note fruttate di albicocca, pera e agrumi, accompagnate da sentori speziati di coriandolo e pepe bianco, oltre a una delicata sfumatura floreale. Al palato, la Chimay Tripel offre un corpo pieno e rotondo, con una dolcezza maltata ben bilanciata da un amaro fine ed elegante. Il finale è secco e leggermente speziato, con una persistenza lunga e piacevole, che lascia il palato pulito e pronto per un altro sorso.
Un’icona della tradizione trappista
La Chimay Tripel è prodotta dall’Abbazia di Scourmont, un monastero trappista fondato nel 1862 nelle Ardenne belghe. Il birrificio dell’abbazia è rinomato per la sua attenzione alla qualità e alla tradizione, producendo birre secondo le rigide regole trappiste. Le birre Chimay sono riconosciute con il marchio Authentic Trappist Product, che garantisce che la produzione avvenga all’interno dell’abbazia e che parte dei proventi sia destinata a opere di beneficenza.

Chimay Cinq Cents - траппистский крепкий эль от бельгийской пивоварни Bieres de Chimay
Пивоварня Bières de Chimay была основана в аббатстве Scourmont в бельгийском муниципалитете Chimay в 1862 году. Для обеспечения своих потребностей траппистские монахи освоили искусство пивоварения и сыроварения. Благодаря высокому качеству и потрясающим характеристикам, продукция траппистских монахов стала популярна и любима во всем мире. Пятьдесят процентов пива под маркой Chimay продается на экспортных рынках.
Пиво Бир де Шимэ производится исключительно из натуральных ингредиентов: воды, солодового ячменя, пшеницы, сахара, хмеля и дрожжевого экстракта. Вода для пива берется из чистейшего источника, расположенного внутри монастырских стен. Отфильтрованные твердые частицы пивного сусла перерабатываются в корм для скота, в том числе для коров, которые производят молоко для сыров Chimay. После ферментации пиво транспортируется из монастыря к месту розлива в 12 км от монастыря. После бутилирования пиво "возвращается" в монастырь, где проходит реферментацию в бутылках в течение трех недель перед отправкой в продажу. В 1988 году пивоварня была реконструирована, и сегодня новые мощности позволяют производить более 12 мегалитров пива ежегодно.
