Being part of the great Trappist tradition, we’ve chosen to produce a strong dark ale, but one with a clearly English character.Tynt Meadow is mahogany-coloured, with a subtle, warm red hue, and a lasting beige head. BeschrijvingDe geschiedenis van de abdij leert ons dat er reeds in de 19e eeuw brouwactiviteiten hebben plaatsgevonden in de abdij, ze zijn dus niet aan hun proefstuk toe. De monniken hebben de voorbije jaren de nodige werkzaamheden verricht en voorbereidingen getroffen om alles ter plaatse te kunnen doen. Brouwen, bottelen en inpakken gebeurt door de monniken.Sinds 17 september 2018 hebben de monniken bij Tynt Meadow het ATP label verkregen waardoor ze officieel de twaalfde trappist mogen brouwen.Tynt Meadow is een sterk donker bier met een alcoholgehalte van 7,4%. Het bier heeft een geur van chocolade en vijgen, en heeft een volmondige smaak met licht bittere afdronk. Kenners herkennen ook nog toetsen van zoethout en peper.

Tynt Meadow is brewed with English barley and hops, using an English strain of yeast. It is twice-fermented, with the first fermentation taking place in the tank, and the second in the bottle. It should be stored in a cool, dark, quiet place.
