Weihenstephan Considerada la cervecería mas antigua del mundo en activo, está en funcionamiento desde 1040, y se encuentra ubicada en Freising, a escasos 50 km de Múnich, en lo que antes fue el monasterio benedictino de Weihenstephan. Desde 1803 la cervecería pertenece al estado bávaro y sus normas de calidad son de una alta exigencia priorizando la calidad frente al volumen. A comienzos del siglo XX se transformó en sede de una de las escuelas técnicas de cerveza más prestigiosas del mundo, dependiendo actualmente de la Universidad de Múnich. Así, una tradición única y una cultura cervecera se desarrollaron a lo largo de los siglos. Hoy, los herederos de Korbinian usan la tecnología más moderna, pero nunca olvidan su propia historia y sus propios altos estándares.

La cerveza Kellerbier o “Cerveza de bodega” 1516 es una especialidad que incluye la excepcional variedad de lúpulos Hallertauer Record, que sólo cultiva un único productor de lúpulo en Hallertau. 1516 Kellerbier tiene cuerpo con una agradable nota de caramelo y un rico color ámbar. Durante el período prolongado de maduración, la levadura de fermentación del fondo se sedimenta en el fondo del tanque, dejando la cerveza con una turbidez ligeramente opalescente, parte de su aspecto característico. La nota de lúpulo equilibrada completa el sabor a la perfección.

Giới thiệu về nhà máy bia Weihenstephan
Gần một nghìn năm trước, Nhà máy bia Weihenstephan của bang Bavaria là nhà máy bia của tu viện, của các tu sĩ dòng Benedictine. Sau đó, Nhà máy bia Hoàng gia bang Bavaria đã hoạt động như một doanh nghiệp do nhà nước chỉ đạo dưới sự kiểm soát của Chính phủ bang Bavaria.
Là nhà máy bia lâu đời nhất vẫn còn tồn tại trên thế giới, nó nằm trên ngọn đồi Weihenstephan, được bao quanh bởi trung tâm khoa học Weihenstephan tương đối trẻ của Đại học Kỹ thuật Munich. Và như vậy, một truyền thống độc đáo và văn hóa sản xuất bia đã phát triển qua nhiều thế kỷ. IBU: 25 CASI MIL AÑOS DE HISTORIA Es bueno saber que en la agitada historia de Weihenstephaner, con todos sus desarrollos, logros y reveses, una cosa se ha mantenido constante: nuestra cerveza. La cervecería del monasterio es la fabrica mas antigua del mundo y esta orgullosa de mantener su calidad y tradición durante siglos. La elaboración de cervezas comenzó el año 1040, en ese año se lograron los derechos de elaboración y venta de cerveza en la ciudad de Freising.
Un importante hito tuvo lugar en las afueras del monasterio el año 1516, ahí el duque Wilhelm IV promulgo la ley de la pureza de Baviera. Solo la cebada malteada, el lúpulo y el agua llegarían a la cerveza.
En 1852, la Escuela Agricola Central se traslado a Weihenstephan y con ella los estudiantes cerveceros bavaros. En 1930 paso a ser parte de la Univesidad Tecnica de Munich. Weihenstephan se convirtio asi en el centro de la tecnologia de elaboracion de cerveza, por excelencia de todo el mundo.
