This indulgent American Stout presents a rich sensory experience, merging the robust structure of a dark ale with dessert-inspired complexity. Intense aromas of jammy strawberries and creamy vanilla dominate the fore, grounded by a foundation of milk chocolate and deep caramel. Subtle notes of roasted coffee provide a sophisticated counterpoint to the primary fruit-forward sweetness. The palate is thick and velvety, layering bittersweet cocoa with a concentrated berry character. While it maintains the firm roasted grain essence and moderate bitterness expected of the style, the finish remains luxuriously smooth, lingering with a harmonious blend of dark malt and fruit esters.
Appearance. Jet black (SRM 40+) and completely opaque. It supports a large, persistent head of light brown foam with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Prominent scents of strawberry jam and sweet vanilla cream are layered over a moderate roasted coffee and milk chocolate malt profile. Low resiny hop notes and a subtle, clean alcohol warmth are detectable in the background.
Taste. Initial impression is of sweet strawberry and vanilla bean. The mid-palate reveals rich caramel and milk chocolate flavors alongside moderate roasted coffee bitterness. While sweetness is high for the style, it is balanced by the roasted grain character. The finish is smooth and lingering with a persistent dark chocolate and berry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Full body with a thick, viscous, and velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate. A noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth is present, contributing to a luxuriously creamy mouthfeel without any roast-derived astringency.
