Vitamin Sea Brewing

Vitamin Sea’s Double Summer is a vibrant Hazy Double IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop profile. The aromatic intensity is driven by Citra, providing lush mango and lime, while Cascade adds a classic grapefruit and floral lift. Columbus contributes a grounding layer of resinous pine and pungent dankness. On the palate, expect a wave of tropical fruit and citrus oils supported by a soft, bready malt foundation. This beer balances its firm bitterness with a creamy texture, finishing dry with a lingering hop saturation and a well-integrated alcohol warmth that highlights its substantial strength.

Appearance. Deep gold with a significant, opaque haze. Thick, creamy white head that persists and leaves dense lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Punchy tropical notes of mango and passionfruit from Citra, paired with floral grapefruit from Cascade. A distinct resinous, dank, and slightly peppery spice from Columbus adds complexity. Clean, grainy malt in the background.

Taste. Initial burst of sweet citrus and tropical fruit, followed quickly by a resinous and piney hop flavor. Moderately high bitterness that is smooth rather than harsh. Very low malt sweetness with a soft, cracker-like profile. Finishes dry and clean with a long-lasting hop-oil aftertaste.
