This collaborative American Pale Ale from Verdant and Double-Barrelled delivers a pungent, modern sensory experience. The intensive use of El Dorado and Motueka, bolstered by a liquid hop product, results in a luscious profile bursting with tropical fruit and bright citrus. Expect vivid notes of sweet watermelon and stone fruit from the El Dorado, perfectly countered by the zesty, crushed lime character of Motueka. A supportive, neutral malt base allows these complex hop layers to shine, finishing with a clean, drinkable bitterness that highlights the technical precision of this hop-forward partnership.
Appearance. Pale golden (approx. 6 SRM) with a slight haze. Topped by a moderately large, creamy white head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma dominated by tropical fruit, stone fruit, and lime. El Dorado contributes melon and peach notes, while Motueka provides a distinct citrus and zest character. A subtle, grainy malt sweetness provides a neutral foundation, accompanied by low fruity esters.
