Witty Nelson reimagines the traditional Witbier through a contemporary lens, dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin to bridge Belgian tradition with New Zealand flair. It pours a hazy, milky yellow with a dense, white moussy head. The sensory profile is led by the hop’s signature white wine, gooseberry, and tropical fruit notes, which meld seamlessly with zesty orange peel and coriander. A backbone of bready, grainy wheat and hints of honey provides a soft canvas for peppery yeast phenols and light saison-like esters. Crisp and effervescent, it finishes dry and refreshing, evolving from tropical vibrancy toward elegant vinous complexity as it ages.

Appearance. 2–4 SRM. Pale straw to milky yellow; very cloudy with a persistent, dense, white moussy head and fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Bright Nelson Sauvin character offering white grape, gooseberry, and passionfruit. Underlying bready malt and honeyed wheat aromatics are complemented by zesty orange citrus and a subtle, peppery coriander spice.

Taste. Initial impression of bready wheat and honeyed malt followed by a surge of tropical fruit and white wine from the Nelson Sauvin hops. Mid-palate reveals classic citrusy orange and herbal coriander. Low bitterness supports a crisp, dry finish with lingering notes of cracked pepper and grape skin.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture from unmalted wheat and oats. High carbonation creates a lively, effervescent prickle. Very refreshing with no perceptible alcohol warmth or astringency.
