Với thiết kế nắp xanh độc đáo, bia nhập khẩu Rochefort 8 có nồng độ cồn 9,2% – thích hợp cho những quý ông lịch lãm. Bia được tô điểm bằng một màu nâu đỏ đặc trưng và quyến rũ, kèm theo đó là hương thơm phảng phất cùng vị ngọt của trái cây … Tất cả đã hòa quyện để tạo nên một khẩu vị tuyệt vời không thể nào từ chối được. Această bere a fost introdusă în anii 1950 pentru sărbătorile de sfârșit de an și a fost inițial denumită „Spéciale”. Cu o culoare brună închisă și un conținut de alcool de 9,2%, Rochefort 8 prezintă o spumă de culoare alb-gălbui. Gustul său este viguros și complex, susținut de un corp ferm care echilibrează tăria alcoolică.

Elaborada sólo con productos naturales: agua de manantial, malta de cebada, lúpulo, azúcar. La levadura garantiza la fermentación. Con segunda fermentación en botella.
Libera todo su sabor cuando se sirve una temperatura entre 12 y 14 grados. Con aromas a frutos secos, jerez, regaliz y pasas. No excesivamente robusta, con sabor levemente tostado, a pasas, bien especiada.

Curiosidad: En la actualidad existen 12 cervezas trapistas (si bien cada abadía puede elaborar distintas variedades): seis en Bélgica (Achel, Chimay, Orval, Rochefort, Westmalle y Westvleteren), dos en Países Bajos (La Trappe y Zundert), una en Austria (Engelszell), una en Estados Unidos (Spencer) y una en Italia (Tre Fontane). A estas hay que sumar la Mont des Cats, en Francia, que si bien es considerada una trapista más, pero no tiene el certificado y logo ATP Trapista – Trapense La cerveza trapista o trapense es aquella elaborada dentro de una abadía cisterciense, bajo el control de la comunidad trapista, que la produce sin afán de lucro. De hecho, los ingresos generados por la cervecería permiten la subsistencia de los monjes y el mantenimiento de los edificios del monasterio y participar en proyectos de carácter social.
