Fu brassata per la prima volta negli anni 50, ed allora veniva chiamata ''Merveille''. Copre il 30% della produzione della birreria. Il colore è bruno intenso, con riflessi rosso carminio; la schiuma, generosa ma non indiscreta, è cremosa, persistente e di color caffelatte. L'aroma è di per sé un capolavoro: malto fortemente liquoroso, con un accenno di cioccolato e burro, e soprattutto un'intensa nota fruttata che anticipa le meraviglie del gusto. Gusto che aggredisce con un sorprendente calore alcolico, il quale, sommato al corpo morbido e velato di lievito, contribuisce all'intensità di questa birra sensazionale. Superato lo shock iniziale, si sprigiona in bocca una serie interminabile di sapori, tutti perfettamente bilanciati e articolati in modo da non sovrapporsi e, allo stesso tempo, non scomparire mai del tutto; una vera e propria macedonia di frutta candita, sia dolce che amara, imbevuta di liquore e caramello, con un sentore piccante di spezie, liquirizia e cannella. La presenza del malto è costante e squisita, e mentre nel gusto assume l'aspetto di pane fresco, nel finale, sorprendentemente secco, si sposta verso una leggera nota amarognola e affumicata. La birra è completamente fermentata, e questo la rende vivace nonostante la sua altà densità di 24,5° Plato. Il retrogusto è generosissimo, persistente, secco e caldo per l'alcohol.
Un'autentica meraviglia brassicola, una di quelle birre che, ad ogni bevuta, hanno qualcosa di nuovo da dire. La gradazione alcolica è evidente, ma non ostacola una straordinaria bevibilità: un'autentica nemica del palloncino... Da servire a temperatura di cantina, con un buon tagliere di formaggi teneri e saporiti. Un tesoro di sapore da bere accanto al camino, un ''must'' per chiunque ami la birra di qualità.
