Thornbridge AM:PM presents a vibrant Session IPA character within an Alternative Grain Beer framework. This gluten-free offering bursts with high-intensity tropical aromas driven by a quartet of expressive hops. Citra and Ella deliver sharp notes of pineapple and tangerine, while Nelson Sauvin and Amarillo contribute exotic layers of guava and passion fruit. Despite its sessionable strength, the palate features a surprisingly chewy, honeyed malt backbone that provides structure against the assertive hop presence. It balances crisp refreshment with a sophisticated fruit medley, finishing clean and bright, proving that alternative grain bases can support a world-class hop profile.

Appearance. Pale gold to light amber (SRM 4–6). Features a bright clarity common in modern deglutenized ales. Topped by a persistent, frothy white head that leaves delicate lacing as it recedes.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex tropical fruit bouquet. Dominant scents of ripe pineapple and tangy tangerine from Citra and Amarillo are complemented by Nelson Sauvin’s distinct passion fruit and crushed grape notes. A subtle, honey-like malt sweetness provides a clean foundation without overpowering the hop-forward character.

Taste. The initial impression is hop-centric, echoing the aroma with layers of guava and citrus. A moderate bitterness provides a crisp counterpoint to the bready, honeyed malt flavors. The fermentation is exceptionally clean, allowing the Nelson Sauvin and Ella hops to shine through to a dry, lingering fruity finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a slightly creamy, chewy texture that belies its 4.5% ABV. Moderate-high carbonation provides a refreshing prickle on the tongue. Zero alcohol warmth and no grain-derived astringency.
