This session-strength Grisette presents a refreshing, rustic profile defined by a vibrant interplay of modern hops and classic fermentation character. The use of Talus hops introduces distinctive layers of pink grapefruit, dried rose petals, and a hint of resinous pine, which meld seamlessly with the clean, peppery spice of the Belle Saison yeast. A foundation of pale malts and cereal grains provides a soft, grainy texture without sweetness, leading to a highly attenuated, bone-dry finish. Effervescent and bright, it balances its low gravity with expressive aromatics and a firm, quenching bitterness, epitomizing the drinkable, artisanal spirit of the Saison style.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (3–5 SRM). Boasts a long-lasting, dense, rocky white head with excellent Belgian lacing. Unfiltered and hazy, displaying high effervescence.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics featuring a complex blend of pink grapefruit and floral rose from the hops, layered over a moderate spicy yeast character reminiscent of cracked black pepper. Low grainy malt notes of cracker and raw wheat provide a subtle backdrop.
Taste. Initial impression is bone-dry and refreshingly bitter. Hop flavors of citrus zest and herbal pine are prominent, supported by a medium-low soft, grainy malt palate. The Belle Saison yeast provides a clean but assertive peppery spice. Finishes very dry with a lingering, crisp bitterness and a spicy, citrusy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-low body with a prickly, high carbonation that feels effervescent on the tongue. No alcohol warmth is present. Features a slight creaminess from cereal grains but remains light and quenching with no astringency.
