This formidable Imperial Stout delivers an overwhelming sensory experience, characterized by its immense viscosity and deep, layered complexity. Built upon the foundation of Black Tuesday, the addition of hazelnuts creates a rich, nutty profile reminiscent of pralines and dark chocolate truffles. Decadent notes of molasses, roasted coffee, and charred oak dominate the palate, while the staggering alcohol content provides a deep, integrated warmth. Expect intense aromas of toasted nuts and bourbon-soaked raisins, finishing with a lingering, bittersweet interplay of roasted malt and earthy hazelnut oils. It is a luxurious, slow-sipping masterpiece of modern brewing.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40+ SRM). Minimal, short-lived deep tan head with low retention due to high alcohol and nut oils; produces prominent legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity; rich blend of dark chocolate, espresso, and toasted hazelnuts. Strong esters of dried dark fruits like figs and prunes combine with charred oak, vanilla, and a noticeable but clean alcohol presence.

Taste. Intense initial impression of molasses and cocoa. Robust malt flavors of dark chocolate and toast are secondary to the rich hazelnut praline. Moderate bitterness provides balance against the heavy residual sweetness. The finish is long and warming with a complex aftertaste of roasted grain and nut oils.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied and chewy with a velvety, luscious, and syrupy texture. Low carbonation. Significant, smooth alcohol warmth is present and persistent.
