This monumental Double Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout presents a regal sensory experience, defined by its extreme density and opulent layers. The double maturation process imparts a profound oak structure and spirit-forward warmth that frames an intense core of Colombian Arauca cacao. Lush Madagascar vanilla weaves throughout, softening the impact of the massive alcohol content with a creamy, confectionary sweetness. The profile is a decadent tapestry of bittersweet dark chocolate, toasted bourbon oak, and rich espresso, delivered with a velvety, syrupy texture that coats the palate. It is an unapologetically bold expression of dark malt and luxury ingredients, finishing with a lingering, warming complexity.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+); produces a thin, dark brown head with low retention due to high alcohol content. Heavy, oily viscosity is evident with thick legs coating the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with dominant notes of bittersweet chocolate, Colombian Arauca cacao, and rich Madagascar vanilla. Deep aromas of toasted oak, bourbon, and dark fruits like raisins and prunes are supported by a moderately strong roasted coffee character and a noticeable but smooth alcohol presence.

Taste. Intense initial impression of dark chocolate ganache and fudge. Layers of Madagascar vanilla and bourbon-soaked oak provide a creamy, woody complexity. Malt flavors of espresso, black licorice, and charred grain balance a high residual sweetness. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low relative to the massive malt body. The finish is exceptionally long and sweet with a warming spirit character.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, thick, and chewy with a syrupy, luscious texture. Carbonation is low, enhancing the beer's weight. Significant, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, lacking any harsh solvent notes.
