Krampus 2025 is an opulent Imperial Stout crafted to evoke the sensory indulgence of a traditional Christmas cake. An intense aromatic profile of Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Ginger, and All Spice leads the experience, underpinned by a heavy malt foundation of dark chocolate and espresso. Bright notes of Orange zest and the subtle, nutty sweetness of Almond add layers of festive complexity. The inclusion of Lactose ensures a velvety, luscious texture that coats the palate, balancing the robust 10.8% ABV. This is a harmonious, warming winter ale where spice, roast, and a decadent, creamy finish create a true dessert-like character.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40+ SRM). Crowned by a dense, persistent dark tan head with excellent lacing; high viscosity is evident through thick legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of roasted grain, dark cocoa, and a pungent spice rack featuring Cinnamon, Ginger, and Nutmeg. Substantial Orange citrus esters and a marzipan-like Almond character are supported by a clean, moderate alcohol warmth.

Taste. Initial impression is deeply sweet and complex, featuring flavors of molasses, toasted Almond, and dark fruit. The spice blend of All Spice and Ginger provides a sharp, festive counterpoint to the creamy Lactose sweetness. Bitterness is moderate but subordinate to the massive malt and spice profile. The finish is long and decadent with lingering notes of Orange and roasted coffee.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous with a chewy, velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate, enhancing the beer's richness. A smooth, noticeable alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, avoiding any harshness.
