Appearance. Deep ruby-brown to mahogany (25-30 SRM); features a prominent, persistent tan head with fine lacing. Per the brewer's note, this version displays a noticeable chill haze instead of the traditional brilliant clarity.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a clean lager profile. Initial notes of toasted bread and light coffee are met by a prominent hop punch of pine and citrus. Spalter Select provides a subtle herbal and spicy undercurrent beneath the brighter, resinous DE Cascade influence.
