El Capitano presents an assertive sensory profile defined by an intense hop-forward character. Highlighting the influence of Citra and Mosaic, the beer radiates powerful aromas of grapefruit, passion fruit, and resinous pine. The 8.3% ABV is masterfully integrated, providing a smooth, warming sensation that bolsters the heavy hop impact without becoming solventy. A lean malt backbone provides a clean foundation for the aggressive yet refined bitterness characteristic of a classic Double IPA.
