This barrel-aged Czech Premium Pale Lager offers a complex evolution of a traditional style, spending eighteen months in wood with Le Soupir wild yeast. A deep gold pour reveals a marriage of bready-rich malt and the classic spicy, herbal bouquet of noble hops. The extended maturation introduces rustic layers of barnyard funk, aged leather, and subtle oak tannins that transform the mid-palate. While the initial impression is soft and malty, the wild fermentation ensures a bone-dry, attenuated finish. A firm but rounded bitterness provides the backbone, balancing the intricate, earthy microflora for a sophisticated, multifaceted drinking experience.

Appearance. Deep gold color (5-6 SRM). Moderate clarity with a faint haze from wild yeast integration. Dense, long-lasting, creamy off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Rich, bready malt foundation layered with spicy and herbal hop notes. Distinctive wild yeast profile featuring earthy funk, damp hay, and a whisper of oak. Low floral esters.

Taste. Initial complex bready maltiness quickly met by a pronounced, rounded bitterness. Floral and spicy hop flavors are prominent. The wild yeast contribution adds a rustic, dry character with notes of aged wood and a very light lactic tang. Finishes remarkably dry and clean with lingering herbal hop notes and a touch of funk.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, rounded texture. Moderate carbonation. A hint of wood-derived tannin provides a very light, pleasant astringency. Negligible alcohol warmth.
