This Double IPA showcases a vibrant and modern hop profile driven by the combination of Citra and Riwaka. The aromatic intensity is high, dominated by Citra's signature grapefruit and lime zest alongside the distinctive passionfruit and tropical diesel notes of Riwaka. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer maintains high drinkability through a lean malt structure that stays out of the way of the hops. A firm, clean bitterness provides structure without being harsh, leading into a crisp, dry finish. The sensory experience is one of intense tropical resin, balanced by a subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth that complements the punchy hop character.

Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (7–10 SRM). Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with good lacing. Clarity is clear to slightly hazy, which is acceptable for modern versions.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma. Prominent notes of grapefruit, lime, and tropical fruit from Citra, with a distinctive pungent passionfruit and crushed citrus leaf character from Riwaka. Malt is neutral and grainy in the background. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors mirroring the aroma, featuring pineapple, peach, and citrus pith. Malt flavor is low and supportive, suggesting clean cracker or light bread. Bitterness is firm and moderately high but smooth. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering, resinous, hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate-high. A light, clean, and smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No harsh hop-derived astringency.
