This British Brown Ale presents a deep reddish hue with a dense, creamy foam. The aroma is exceptionally fresh, blending sweet toffee and nutty malt notes with a distinctive spicy layer of coriander. On the palate, a lush malt sweetness leads with flavors of caramel and light chocolate, balanced by the herbal, peppery warmth of the added spice. Appearance. Deep reddish-brown color (approx. 20 SRM). Exhibits a compact, firm, and creamy off-white to light tan head with excellent retention and lacing. Clear with a slight effervescence.
Aroma. Moderate intensity. Dominant sweet malt aroma characterized by toffee, nutty tones, and light chocolate. A fresh, spicy coriander note is prominent, complementing low fruity esters and a subtle earthy hop character.
Taste. Initial impression is moderately sweet and malty. Flavors of caramel, toasted nuts, and toffee lead, followed by a light chocolate character. The addition of coriander provides a distinctive spicy, peppery flavor that persists into the finish. Low bitterness provides just enough balance to the malt-forward profile. The finish is slightly sweet and lingering with a spicy aftertaste.
