Inspired by the depths of the Arctic, this Imperial Stout is a malt-forward powerhouse that balances aggressive intensity with refined complexity. The sensory experience is dominated by an incredible depth of roasted grain, delivering bold layers of espresso and unsweetened baker’s cocoa. A subtle, wispy hint of smoke weaves through the dark profile, adding mystery to the rich, toasted core. At 10.2% ABV, it presents a warming presence that remains sophisticated rather than sharp. The finish is decadent and lingering, showcasing a masterclass in malt-driven sensory depth that promises to evolve gracefully with age.

Appearance. Opaque, jet black (40 SRM) with a dense, persistent dark tan head that leaves thick lacing. High viscosity is apparent in the glass, forming visible legs upon swirling.

Aroma. High intensity with prominent notes of freshly roasted espresso beans and bittersweet cocoa. Subtle nuances of charred grain and a whisper of woodsmoke complement moderate dark fruit esters resembling dried plums and prunes. Very low earthy hop character.

Taste. Bold initial impression of heavily roasted malt and dark chocolate. Mid-palate reveals layers of espresso and toasted crust, supported by a firm bitterness that balances the residual malt sweetness. A faint smoky character emerges toward the finish, which is long, bittersweet, and clean without being cloying.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and chewy with a luxurious, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate-low, and a smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth is noticeable throughout, enhancing the decadence without harshness.
