This American Barleywine presents a masterclass in intensity and barrel integration. A base of American malts delivers a concentrated core of rich toffee and deep caramel, further complexed by seventeen months in bourbon barrels which infuse layers of charred oak, smooth vanilla, and a distinct bourbon warmth. Despite the English Ale strain's fruity esters and a leathery backbone, the American hops provide a persistent, resinous counterpoint to the massive malt sweetness. The result is a viscous, contemplative sipper where the initial fruitiness and hop bitterness evolve into a long, warming finish of dark sugar and spirit-forward complexity.

Appearance. Deep copper to dark amber with distinct ruby highlights. Pours with a thin, tan collar of foam that dissipates quickly into a light ring; low head retention is expected given the high ABV. Brilliant clarity with visible legs when swirled.
