Profanator is a rich, deeply comforting Doppelbock defined by its extensive lagerization and complex malt bill. The aroma is dominated by the profound, bready sweetness of two types of Munich malt and the toasted essence of Pilsner malt. Subtle notes of dark fruit and toasted crust emerge from the Melanoidin and Caramunich, while a faint whisper of cocoa from Pale Chocolate malt adds depth without roastiness. On the palate, Perle hops provide a refined, herbal counterpoint to the velvet malt dominance. It finishes with a smooth, warming glow, perfectly capturing the transition into colder months with elegant, rounded sweetness and a clean lager finish.

Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark brown with brilliant ruby highlights (20-25 SRM). Topped by a large, creamy, and persistent off-white head that displays excellent retention.

Aroma. High intensity of rich, bready, and toasted malt. Significant Maillard products suggest toasted bread crust and light caramel. Very low herbal hop aroma from the Perle addition. Subtle dark fruit esters reminiscent of dried plums and fruit leather. Clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Very rich and intensely malty. Initial impression of toasted bread and dark grain, followed by layers of toffee and a hint of dark chocolate. Hop bitterness is moderately low, allowing the malt to dominate. Very low herbal hop flavor. Finishes with a lingering malty sweetness that is well-attenuated and never cloying.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full body with a smooth, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderately low. A noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth provides a gentle glow without harshness or burn. No astringency.
