Schwarze Rose

This modern Double IPA delivers an intense, multi-layered sensory experience driven by a sophisticated blend of Loral, Galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin hops. A silky multi-grain base provides a soft, cushioned backdrop that carries vibrant aromas of vineyard peach and tropical passion fruit. On the palate, the hop profile shifts toward sharp lime zest and the signature gooseberry tang of the Nelson Sauvin. Despite its strength, the finish remains remarkably clean and drinkable, balancing a firm bitterness with lush fruit character. It is a refined ale that highlights the intricate interplay between aromatic New World hops and a smooth, modern malt profile.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange with a slight, persistent haze from the multi-grain base. Crowning the pour is a moderate, white, creamy head with excellent retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passion fruit, peach, and crushed gooseberry. A supportive, neutral grainy maltiness sits in the background alongside a light floral spice and a hint of clean alcohol.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical and stone fruit flavors, specifically vineyard peach and lime zest. The malt provides a clean, soft, toasted grain support without being sweet. Bitterness is firm and assertive but smooth, leading to a dry, lingering finish of gooseberry and resinous hops.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a notable silkiness and creaminess from the grain bill. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a crisp lift. A light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
