Red Stripe presents as a classic American Lager, defined by its crisp refreshment and approachable profile. This Jamaican icon emphasizes a soft, grainy malt core over hop presence, offering an exotic yet familiar clean character. The palate is exceptionally smooth with a notable lack of bitterness, allowing subtle sweetness from the base malts to lead into a bright, thirst-quenching finish. Designed for high drinkability in tropical climates, it delivers a neutral fermentation profile and a snappy, effervescent mouthfeel. Every sip provides a nostalgic sense of freshness, balanced perfectly between light grainy sweetness and a dry, sparkling conclusion.

Appearance. Very pale straw to medium yellow (SRM 2-3). Brilliant clarity with a white, frothy head that has low persistence and minimal lacing.

Aroma. Low intensity and very clean. Primary notes of grainy, sweet malt with subtle corn-like hints. Hop aroma is nearly absent, with only the faintest trace of spicy or floral character. No yeast-derived esters or phenols.

Taste. Initial impression is neutral and clean. Low grainy malt flavor provides a perceived sweetness due to the very low bitterness (IBU 8-18). Hop flavor is negligible, showing a faint herbal quality. The balance is slightly malty-sweet, finishing very dry, crisp, and refreshing with no lingering harshness.

Mouthfeel. Light to medium-light body with a clean texture. Very high carbonation provides a prickly carbonic bite on the tongue. No alcohol warmth or astringency is present.
