Hound Cake: Lemon Pie is a decadent Wild Specialty Beer that prioritizes a lush, dessert-like experience. This collaboration captures a vivid lemon pie profile through a dense, smoothie-like texture. High-intensity aromatics of ripe banana, tropical mango, and sweet pineapple are tempered by the sharp, zesty citrus of lemon. A distinct vanilla and creamy cheesecake element weaves through the profile, providing a rich, pastry-laden foundation. The sensory journey is a balance of vibrant, tart fruit acidity and a lingering, sweet confectionery finish, mimicking the complexity of a fruited lemon tart with a tropical twist.

Appearance. Opaque and thick, reminiscent of fruit nectar; color is a deep, glowing straw-gold to pale orange. The head is fine-beaded and light yellow, with very low retention and minimal lacing due to the high concentration of fruit solids.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of fresh lemon zest and pureed mango. Supporting notes of sweet banana and pineapple add tropical depth, while a prominent vanilla bean and creamy, cheesecake-like sweetness dominate the background. A clean, lactic fermentation character is evident.

Taste. The initial impression is a sharp, refreshing lemon tartness followed immediately by a wave of sweet mango and pineapple flavors. The mid-palate reveals a rich, biscuit-and-cream character from the vanilla and pastry additions. Hop bitterness is absent, allowing the fruit acidity to provide balance.
