Ein Bier so dunkel wie estnische Winternächte (Öö bedeutet "Nacht"). Es ist allerdings in jedem Fall stark genug um Euch warm zu halten und voll köstlicher Aromen von Röstmalz und dunklen Früchten. Im kräftigen und cremigen Körper dieses Imperial Porters finden sich Anklänge von dunklem Karamell, Toffee, Lakritz und etwas Rauch. Die Fruchtnoten reichen von Brombeere bis getrocknete Pflaume. Natürlich fordert es seine Trinker*innen, 10,% Alkohol sind schließlich nicht ohne, aber es lohnt sich allemal. Denn das Geschmackserlebnis ist einzigartig! Die Grundlage des Erfolgs
Ein Markteinstieg mit einem 10,5% starken dunklem Bier - kann man sich das vorstellen? Es gehört sicherlich eine große Portion Mut und Selbstbewusstsein dazu, wenn man als ersten Bier einer neuen Brauerei ein Imperial Porter auf den Markt bringt. Die estnische Brauerei hat genau das gemacht. Es war das erste Bier, was Põhjala je kommerziell released hat. Und es war - und ist es bis heute - ein großer Erfolg. Nicht umsonst ist es seit 2013 ununterbrochen im Portfolio der Brauerei.
Das Öö ist nicht nur etwas für Liebhaber*innen von dunklen Bieren generell. Es weiß alle Fans von Craft Beer zu begeistern! Gerade in der richtigen Situation oder in der passenden Kombination mit Essen weiß dieses Bier zu glänzen. Põhjala selbst zeigen es in ihrem Taproom in Tallinn: Das Öö zu einem kräftigen Texas BBQ aus dem Smoker - das passt einfach! Oder probiert es mal zu einem New York Cheesecake. Appearance: Pitch black - as dark as the night sky, with an opaque brown head.
Nose: A clean burnt sugar dominates, immediately giving way to rich dark fruits - plums, raisin, and fresh cranberries. Eventually, a roasted smokiness emerges, like a distant bonfire on the horizon.
Malts: Pale ale, Munich, Carafa II Special, Special B, Chocolate malt, Crystal 300, Demerara sugar

Chuť: Velký a odvážný, díky tomu se Pedro Ximenez okamžitě cítí. Luxusně sladké, s výraznou přítomností třešní a čokolády. Rozinkový charakter z vůně znovu proniká a hladce klouže po jazyku. Nejlépe si vychutnáte, když usrkáte u krbu.

Sherry barrel aged limited version of Pime Öö.
Taste: Big and bold, this immediately makes the Pedro Ximenez felt. Luxuriously sweet, with a heavy presence of cherry and chocolate. The raisin character from the aroma comes through again, sliding down the tongue smoothly. Best enjoyed when sipped by a fireplace.
Appearance: Jet black with a brief ruby tinted light brown head.
Nose: The smell of dates, raisins, cranberries, and above all, sherry overwhelm the room. Blackcurrant jam, smooth chocolate, and a light toasted oak character come through later, whilst sweet malts and a hint of alcohol closes the aroma.
Malts: Pale malt, Munich malt, Special B, Crystal 300, Crystal 150, Crystal 200, Carafa type 2 special, Chocolate malt, Chocolate Rye, Oats
