This Imperial Baltic Porter presents a decadent, deeply layered sensory experience, elevating the traditional style with a bold 10% ABV. The profile is anchored by a rich maltiness offering notes of dark chocolate, molasses, and toasted nuts. The addition of chicory root coffee introduces a unique earthy, herbal bitterness that complements the natural roasted character without veering into burnt territory. Complex esters of plum and raisin weave through the mid-palate, while a smooth, warming alcohol presence provides substantial structure. It finishes with a refined balance of lingering dark fruit and a clean, earthy coffee essence, characteristic of a sophisticated Baltic Porter.
Appearance. Opaque dark brown to near-black with deep mahogany highlights at the edges. Features a thick, persistent, tan-colored head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant rich maltiness featuring notes of dark chocolate, toffee, and deep toasted bread. The chicory root coffee adds an earthy, nutty, and slightly spicy coffee layer. Moderate esters reminiscent of prunes, raisins, and black cherries. No hop aroma. Clean fermentation with a noticeable but well-integrated Port-like alcohol warmth.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and remarkably smooth. Medium carbonation provides a mouth-filling texture that prevents the high gravity from feeling heavy. Noticeable alcohol warmth is smooth and well-aged. Very low astringency.
